Statue of Unity

Situated on the banks of river Narmada, near Sardar Sarovar Dam, Statue of Unity is the latest addition to the travel destinations of Gujarat. It is a symbol of Unity of India and made in the memory of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, iron man of India. The height of the statue is around 182 meters. Viewing Gallery is the major attraction. Other attractions include Sardar Sarovar Dam, Flower Valley, Unity Glow Garden, Museum, Jungle Safari. Recently, 14 seater bus is also started at SOU (Statue of Unity) for travelers and fare is around Rs. 230 per person. Special trains are available from many parts of India to Statue of Unity.

Vadodara

Vadodara (Earlier Baroda) is a cultural, historical and popular city of Gujarat, which was earlier known as Sayaji Nagari, as it was under regime of his excellence honorable Sir Sayajirao Gaekwad. Navratri festival celebration of Vadodara is famous across the globe. You can reach Vadodara by Bus, Train or Flight – Vadodara International Airport.

Laxmi Vilas Palace

The Palace is a masterpiece of great architecture built with Indo-Saracenic style by Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad ííí. Nowadays, it is the best place for organizing events as Banquet is within the campus. Maharaja Fateh Sinh Museum is also within the palace campus. The museum has ancient clothes, weapons gallery, paintings by Raja Ravi Verma and other artists.

Sayaji Baug/Garden (Kamati Baug)

Beautiful garden is a place for children to enjoy joy train, museum and zoo. Floral clock is an added attraction.

Sursagar Lake

Situated in the center of Vadodara, at Sursagar Lake you can enjoy atmosphere and shopping as well. It has 120 feet statue of Lord Shiva in the center. Old court building (Nyay Mandir) is at a walkable distance. Local market is also near to the court for shopping.

Junagadh

Girnar – mountain having around 10,000 steps is the first place a traveler must visit. The surrounding area is called Girnar Taleti. Bhavnath Temple is ancient temple of Lord Shiva. Damodar Kund is not only a spiritual place but also attracts visitors due to lake.

Museum has great collection of clothes, weapons, art and currencies of ancient times.

Uparkot Fort

Willingdon Dam

This dam caters the need of water for the citizens of Junagadh. Enjoy nature, especially sunset at this place.

Sakkarbaug Zoological Park

Park is best to visit especially when you are going with children. Park has many animals and birds with a small aquarium.

Sasan Gir Safari (Home Of Lions)

Sasan Gir is nearest place from Junagadh. Asian lions are famous worldwide. This the place to explore the forest and do some adventure. Permission is needed for entry to this place.

Kutch

Enjoy rann (Desert) of Kutch and camel ride. Rann Utsav (Festival) is celebrated every year at this place. Accommodation facilities (Tents) are also provided.
